Children's Mental Health Week

1st - 8th February

Children's Mental Health Week

This year we are marking Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week – with the theme of Express Yourself.

This is an especially important event for us here at Inclusion as we provide lots of help and support to our learners who have experience of mental health challenges.

Our learners will be exploring this topic throughout the week and we’ll be sharing some of their work with you.

We’ve also got some fantastic blogs from Claire and Michele and other team members, so please do take a look.

We’ve put together some links to other places you can go to find help and support, as well as our Learner Zone support page which has lots of different ideas of places that could help and give you some information.

If you would like to add anything to this page, like a picture of your work, some of your writing, a blog, videos or anything you think could help people with their mental health and wellbeing, then please talk to your tutor and we can add it here.

Meet Casper

We are delighted to introduce you to Casper – the latest member of the Inclusion Team.

Casper is 5 months old and has just started visiting ILC.¬† He is Cheryl’s dog and is coming in to get used to being with lots of different people and meet our learners.

Hopefully Casper is going to become trained as a therapy dog, which means he will help learners and staff when he comes into Inclusion.

Casper is already training with Cheryl, and can hopefully take his assessment in a few months time.

We’ll keep you updated but we’re pleased to say he has already made a wonderful addition to Inclusion and is helping us all with our mental health and wellbeing.
