World Mental Health Day 2021

This week sees World Mental Health Day on 10th October – a world-wide awareness day designed to promote issues around mental health and well-being and combat the stigma still faced around this.

As a specialist education provider supporting young people with mental health and additional needs, marking this day gives us a greater opportunity to raise awareness of these issues and share support and help for any young people experiencing this.

Our learners will be exploring issues around mental health and neurodiversity and looking at why young people may still face barriers to access support and talking about mental health and well-being.

On Thursday 7th October we will be celebrating #HelloYellow Day – in support of the mental health charity Young Minds who offer advice, guidance and resources for young people experiencing mental health needs.

The team ( and any learners we can persuade) will all be wearing yellow on the day to help raise awareness of and reduce stigma surrounding mental health.
